Bold colours simply add some fun to any outfit and they also bring life to your wardrobe.  Every woman should at least introduce these four bold colours; Red, Blue, Yellow and Green into their wardrobe. If you know the colour wheel, you’ll notice three of these colours are considered primary colours AKA your start-up colours. Now, if you’re uncertain about bold colours or this is your first time introducing a bold colour or bold colours into your wardrobe, I advise you to start with primary colours and then work your way up.

Here, I’ll discuss in detail reasons why these 4 colours are must haves for any wardrobe. I also consider them as “universal colours” meaning they work great with any skin tone and should work with colours that are currently sitting in your wardrobe.

1. bold colours: RED

The first bold colour to select for your wardrobe is Red. This colour represent passion or love. Anyone can wear red and look amazing in it. Different shades of red can also work for any skin tone. Red is definitely bold and a statement colour. A touch of red can brighten and elevate an entire look from boring to powerful and elegant. Red is also considered to be one of the primary colours. It pairs well with just about any colour due to being versatile.

For instance, red can be paired with dark colours such as black or navy, neutrals such as white, cream or tan and with bold colours such as fuchsia, orange, green, yellow and so much more. When in doubt, wear red 😁

2. bold colours: BLUE

The second bold colour to select for your wardrobe is Blue. Blue is considered to be calm and refreshing. Blue can be seen as conservative and traditional. It can be worn all season and it pairs incredibly well with bright or vivid colours such as yellow, red and orange. You can also pair blue with dark colours such as black or grey and with neutrals such as white or cream and brown or beige.

I love pairing blue with yellow. I also enjoy pairing blue with red. You can never go wrong with blue and white colour combo 🙌

3. bold colours: YELLOW

The third bold colour to select for your wardrobe is Yellow. Another favourite colour of mine. One of my go to colours I wear all season. This colour is associated with happiness and sunshine. It’s also bright and fun to style for any season. You can do so much with different shades of yellow.

For instance, you can wear a bright yellow dress with bold coloured heel or nude. You can pair a yellow top with white skirt or pants. You can also pair a yellow top with green or pink pants for summer/spring look. If you find yellow to be too bright, you can try mustard yellow which is a bit toned down and can still work with any colour.

4. bold colours: GREEN

The fourth bold colour to select for your wardrobe is Green. Green exudes the feeling of peace and contentment. This colour works incredible with white and cream for spring/summer season, jeans for all season and black or navy for fall/winter season. You can also pair this colour with other bold colours such as red, orange, yellow and different shades of green just to mention a few.

For instance, I paired a white top with green skirt and finish the look with red accessories for a summer look. For winter, I paired my black tiered skirt with a green sweater and finished the look with black boots and a statement belt.

Hopefully, you’re able to bring some bold and fun colours into your wardrobe by starting off with these four colours.
